Monitor Glasses Transform You Into Your Favorite Sci-Fi Character
October 7, 2007 by Lauren
You've seen it in the movies, and now it's here: a wearable monitor in the form of uber-cool glasses. True, it isn't actually the first of it's kind. However, this is still a limited edition optical device brought to you by Scalar.
In the line of specs, this Teleglass T4-N wearable monitor weighs around 30 grams and features titanium frames to give you that extra special, sci-fi look. Simply connect it to something like your iPod (or any other NTSC-capable video player) and you'll see your media literally right before your eyes via monitors tucked behind the lenses. The screen resolution is 640 x 480, and each monitor can be focused and adjusted to reduce eye strain. The audio of your movie will be provided by a pair of headphones mounted in the frames.
All of this is cleverly tucked away, producing a simple, chic pair of sunglasses. The only catch is, 500 pairs are available from the Scalar website for $1,150. If you can swallow that, then these would be a sweet purchase.
